NCEA Conference 2018

April 3, 2018 - April 5, 2018

We are very proud to announce that two members of the Big Shoulders Fund team will be leading workshops at this year’s National Catholic Educational Association Conference (NCEA) in Cincinnati! Elizabeth Bartley, lead instructional coach of the Data Driven Instruction Initiative will be co-presenting with Candy Usauskas, principal of St. Mary Star of the Sea School, on Using Data for School Improvement.

Dan Bennett, director of leadership and scholarship support will be presenting on Designing Dynamic Extended Day Programs.

The NCEA is a one-of-a-kind conference in that it brings together educators from all over the country to exchange ideas and debut cutting-edge research and technologies related to education. We are honored to have Big Shoulders Fund staff lead the way in their perspective fields of work.

We are also proud to share that Big Shoulders Fund Principal Denise Spells, Ed.D., principal at St. Ethelreda Elementary School, will be honored at the conference by receiving a Lead. Learn. Proclaim. Award! Denise is known for her commitment and love of her school and this year, she is celebrating her 25th year leading St. Ethelreda in the Auburn-Gresham neighborhood, where she has helped enrollment increase over the past years.
