“The Power of Perseverance” – Black History Month Book Club Virtual Kick Off Event

Throughout the month of February, Big Shoulders Fund supporters, volunteers, and friends are invited to join the Black History Month Book Club led by the Chairmen’s Advisory Council (CAC) Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Book club participants will read Stride Toward Freedom: The Montgomery Story by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Students from several Big Shoulders Fund high schools will also participate.
A virtual kick-off event will be held on Tuesday, January 26 with a special guest panel that will speak about Dr. King’s legacy, how it has shaped them personally, and what the movement means in today’s society.
